No. Maverick Currencies is a private equity trading firm that trains a team of professional traders and allows them to manage their own sub-accounts on behalf of the firm.
Maverick Currencies has partnered with the best broker/dealers in the industry in order to secure the best platforms, fastest trade executions and superior pricing (commissions). Unlike most firms, Maverick Currencies does not "mark-up" trading commissions.
The firm benefits from traders' profits and not from the cost of executing trades. Thus, we do not have volume requirements and actively discourage high frequency trading. At Maverick Currencies, we align our objectives and motivations to those of our traders – generating profits in the market, while creating an ideal trading environment for traders.
We hire our traders as independent contractors, rather than as salaried staff. As a trading professional for Maverick Currencies, you are provided with trading capital and your income will be directly tied to your performance.
Our traders receive a 1099 form at the end of each year with the earnings from their trading activity. Traders retain 70-80% of all trading profits earned. Refer to our Trader Advancement Tables for specific payout rates.
Upon joining Maverick Currencies as a professional trader, your initial responsibility will be to complete Maverick Currencies's in-house qualification process.
Following the completion of the qualification process, your primary responsibility will be to trade the firm's capital and generate profits for both you and the firm, while following Maverick Currencies's risk-parameters.
To become a Maverick Currencies trader, you must satisfactorily complete the following requirements:
• Demonstrate Proficiency by Passing a Series of Online Exams: Maverick Currencies provides unlimited access to a comprehensive curriculum that details our proven methodology for trading success
• Provide a Proven Track Record: Each trader must demonstrate a consistent and profitable track record through a demo account provided by the firm. Experienced traders may also use existing results from a live account.
• Submit a Detailed Trading Plan: Traders must create a personalized trading plan that outlines important aspects of trading, such as daily routine, risk-management and position sizing details, portfolio management tactics, and other specifics that affect consistent trading. Maverick Currencies will guide each trader through this process.
Yes. The majority of our traders trade remotely from their own laptops, tablets or smartphones. Technology affords us the flexibility and convenience to do this from anywhere in the world with Internet access.
Our trading community meets online several times each week to analyze the markets and discuss potential trade ideas.
Monthly trading profits are calculated based on total trader account value on the last calendar day of every month.
• Profit disbursements are available on the 1st of the month following the prior trading period. For example, if you earned $10,000 in profits in the month of April and were on a 75% profit split, then you could request a disbursement of $7,500 on May 1st.
• Traders can optionally retain some or all earnings within their trading accounts and then apply for higher firm capital amounts.
Yes. Increases are granted based on trading performance. In our firm, traders earn greater and greater exposure through performance.
Since Maverick Currencies shares profits with its traders, it benefits the firm to put as much capital as possible in front of successful traders.
Yes. In fact, our part-time traders often grow into some of our best traders. We are not high-frequency or day traders, so our methodology doesn't require sitting in front of a computer all day.
Yes. There are always costs involved with trading the markets. Fortunately, since Maverick Currencies operates almost entirely online, our costs are low in comparison to the rest of the proprietary trading industry. We strive to offer every advantage to our traders. Our success relies entirely on their success.
